Forces of nature
A short commentary on the ongoing test match between India and West Indies
It seems that the forces of nature are colluding with West Indies against India to prevent India from winning. And this is not the first time it is happening. It happened in 2004 when Australia defeated India after 38 years in Chennai. India were right on top with only 200 odd runs to get and a whole day to play. But as nature would have it, it rained the whole day on the 5th day and the match was drawn. Nobody remembers such events, it is only remembered that India lost the series.
Again if it rains tomorrow and India fails to win the rest of the matches, the only thing that will be remembered would be that India failed to win an overseas series yet again despite the fact that India dominated the first two tests and will again be labeled as bad travelers.
I know it sounds ridiculous, when you are as passionate about any sport as Indians are about cricket, you try to find some reason, any reason for failure to win. And this is my reason.
