Upgrade

Due to the heavier than normal web traffic to my site, my web server (which is a euphemism as it was a P-III laptop with 256 MB RAM running FC4) went down many time over the past few days. I had decided to upgrade the box to a newer better box some time ago, but didn't really want to disturb a working status according to the old engineering adage, "If it ain't broken, don't fix it". Well finally it broke down and I had no choice but to fix it. Upgrade seemed to be the only fix.

I have another laptop, a high end, Intel Centrino 2 GHz processor with 1.5 GB of RAM which I used for testing. I installed FC6 on it and moved the website to the new box sometime last week. But I had some problems in getting Zope and Apache run on that properly and Apache re-write was not working on the new box. I did some troubleshooting, the details of which I will post in my weblog here.
