Thx for this guide. I actually had worked this out a few hours before hand with lots of experimenting. The first time i tried this i found you needed a separate db per pop account, however you can just add another pop account manually to the address book, and on next replication, all that mail appears in the gmail one.
I quite like this idea, as i have 11 pop accounts i manage, and thou i agree that notes sucks as a pop client from a setup point of view, this could prove useful to me as i can have all my mail in one place, and then also store my documents with notes. Plus i can control notes from a DCOM object and send and receive mail as i need from other applications. This has always been a problem for me when using thunderbird which probably is one of the best clients ever. At least i'm not loosing the ability to move mail and settings easily between machines and backups that has always plagued outlook.
