We have a new baby girl

Last few weeks have been full of frantic activity. My wife was pregnant and we were experiencing false positives almost every other day with random contractions. So after all this frenzy, finally she started getting regular contractions and went in to labour on Saturday 3rd March in the morning. It was not a very long wait for me to see the new baby although it seemed eternity for my wife, so much pain she was in. She delivered a healthy and beautiful baby girl at noon on Saturday.

We have an elder son and I was not with her when he was born. This time I was with her all the through the labour and delivery process and witnessed the birth of my daughter. I saw the baby come out little by little and heard her gasp for air and cry for the first time. It was so unreal. I can never forget the sight and the experience for as long as I live. And it has made me all the more appreciative of my wife seeing her go through all the labour of love.

The baby has now come home and is the center of all the attention. We have named her Nandini and so far she is doing great. I have put some more photos of her here.
