Update to Microsoft Patch Tuesday for January

This is just in from Microsoft

Microsoft will be releasing only four security updates as a part of its monthly update cycle instead of 8 as initially announced. Microsoft will release one Microsoft Security Bulletin affecting Microsoft Windows. The highest Maximum Severity rating for this is Critical. Microsoft will also release three Microsoft Security Bulletins affecting Microsoft Office. The highest Maximum Severity rating for these is Critical.

So apparently Microsoft is not going to fix the Visual Studio vulnerability and other Microsoft Windows vulnerabilities. No other details are known at this time. I will update as and when updates are made available.
