NSA helps secure Windows Vista
I first saw this article on Computerworld and before I even read the article completely I thought, "Now in addition to the hackers, we have to worry about identifying and closing the back doors that NSA must have opened for it to get inside". This is not totally paranoia, but is based on the past experience of NSA opening back doors in the name of securing the software.
When I read the article, I saw that some of the experts had voiced opinions similar to my thoughts. Well, I don't really have experience in these things, but the first time I got wind of NSA interference is through Steven Levy's excellent book on Cryptography, Crypto and through Dan Brown's techno-thriler Digital Fortress.
So, now apart from worrying about upgrading your infrastructure for Windows Vista and securing it without it being annoying, you now have to worry about back doors and "big brother" watching you.
